When you're dealing with an injury or an area that's been irritated for a long time, the joints aren't always the only structures involved. Muscles and other soft tissues can become tight, guarded, or sensitive as your body tries to protect an area. That's where targeted soft tissue work can be very, very helpful.

The goal isn't simply to dig into the muscle as hard as possible. We want to understand why that tissue is tight in the first place and then use soft tissue techniques strategically to help reduce tension and improve movement. In many cases, soft tissue work can complement chiropractic care by helping the muscles surrounding an area adapt as normal movement begins to return. Like everything we do, it's not about using the same technique on every person. It's about figuring out what your body needs and using the right tool at the right time.

If tightness, soreness, or an old injury has been limiting the way you move, we'd love to take a look at the bigger picture. Book your first appointment and let's find out what your body needs to start moving better.

This video is general education, not a diagnosis. Every patient is different, and the right care starts with an exam.
