The Prime, Facilitate, Integrate Process
What Makes River of Life Chiropractic Different
River of Life Chiropractic is a College Station practice built around one idea: figure out what’s actually going on before recommending anything. Every visit starts with a real exam, not a guess, using digital X-rays when they’re actually warranted.
Most people search “chiropractor near me” already skeptical of what they’ll find, a quick crack and out the door, or a sales pitch for a 20-visit package before anyone’s even examined them. Dr. Levi Hansen built River of Life Chiropractic to work the other way around: history first, then a full physical exam, then digital X-rays if the exam actually points to a reason for them. Nothing gets recommended before that picture is complete.
Every adjustment follows the same three-step process. Prime: guided breathing to settle your nervous system before anything happens. Facilitate: the adjustment itself, gentle and specific to what your exam shows, primarily the Diversified Technique, with Activator or Upper Cervical Drop used when your findings call for it. Integrate: easing back into movement afterward, since real adaptation happens over the next day or two, not on the table.
River of Life Chiropractic is a cash-pay practice. That’s deliberate: it means your care plan is built around your exam, not what an insurance company will approve. HSA and FSA funds are accepted, and superbills are available if you’d like to submit visits to your own insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
What We Treat
River of Life Chiropractic sees patients from Bryan for:
- Sciatica & Low Back Pain Relief, nerve pain radiating down the leg versus ordinary mechanical back pain
- Migraine and Headache Relief, true migraines and cervicogenic (neck-origin) headaches
- General Chiropractic & Wellness Care, recurring pain, or a proactive check-in when nothing hurts yet
- Neck Pain & Whiplash Care, car accidents, falls, desk posture, old injuries
- Prenatal Chiropractic Care, Webster Technique certified, for pregnancy-related pelvic and low back discomfort
- Sports Chiropractic Care, recurring pain and movement restriction in athletes and active adults
- Herniated Disc & Pinched Nerve Care, distinguished through exam and imaging, not assumed from symptoms alone
- Soft Tissue Therapy, tight muscles and knotted fascia, delivered alongside adjustments
- Therapeutic Exercise, take-home exercises based on your actual exam findings
- Vagus Nerve Care, stress-response symptoms like digestive issues, jaw tension, and poor sleep
Getting Started
New patients start at $67, which covers a full consultation, exam, digital X-rays, and a report of findings, plus relief treatment the same day. If ongoing care is recommended, we’ll walk through the full cost and your payment options before you decide anything, no pressure, no surprise bill.
River of Life Chiropractic is located at 4519 Mills Park Circle, Suite 300, College Station, TX 77845, about a 15-minute drive from Bryan, not far from the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History. You can see the other communities we serve on our areas we serve page. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm, and Tuesday from 3pm to 6pm.
What to Expect at Your Visit
Every visit follows the same three-step process, in the same order, because each step does something different.
Prime. Guided diaphragmatic breathing to settle your nervous system before anything else happens.
Facilitate. The adjustment itself, gentle and specific to what your exam actually shows, primarily the Diversified Technique, with Activator or Upper Cervical Drop used when your findings call for it.
Integrate. Easing back into movement afterward, so your body continues adapting to the adjustment over the following day or two as you go about normal daily life.
Care Built Around More Than Just One Complaint
River of Life Chiropractic wasn’t built around just back pain. It started with a hit Dr. Levi Hansen took during a high school football game that left him with shooting pain down both arms, he couldn’t grip, couldn’t throw, couldn’t even practice. A chiropractor got him adjusted and got his season back. That’s the moment he knew he wanted to spend his life doing the same for other people.
To us, chiropractic care isn’t one treatment applied the same way to everyone. It’s a plan built around what someone’s actual exam shows, not just where it hurts. Most people think of a chiropractor as the person you see for back or neck pain. We help with that too, but the approach starts earlier: a physical exam first, then digital X-rays when the findings actually point to a reason for them, not a guess based on symptoms alone.
In practice, that means we regularly care for:
- Recurring pain that keeps coming back no matter how much rest or stretching is tried
- An old injury that never fully resolved, even if it happened years ago
- Headaches or migraines that don’t have an obvious cause
- Pregnancy-related pelvic and low back discomfort, supported by Webster Technique care
- Stress-response symptoms, digestive issues, poor sleep, tension that won’t let go, that don’t fit neatly into “this is just back pain”
One exam-first process, for a wide range of what actually walks through the door, instead of a single routine applied the same way to everyone.
What that looks like day to day: someone comes in assuming their shooting leg pain is sciatica, when the exam actually points to a hip or pelvis issue instead. Someone else comes in certain their headaches are “just stress,” when a restricted joint at the top of the neck turns out to be the driver. Same starting point, exam first, completely different findings, completely different plans.
If you want to find out what your own exam would actually show, reach out and let’s talk about what you’re dealing with.

No, it’s a cash-pay practice. HSA and FSA funds are accepted, and a superbill is available if you’d like to submit visits to your own insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Not always. The physical exam always comes first, and digital X-rays are only taken in-house when the exam points to a specific reason for them.

I recently experienced a sciatic nerve issue that caused significant discomfort and made everyday activities extremely difficult. Even simple tasks like putting on my socks, shoes, or pants in the morning would take me at least 20 minutes because of the pain and limited mobility. I came here for treatment, and within a month, I was amazed at how much better I felt. The pain that had been interfering with my daily routine was gone, and I was able to get back to my normal activities. I’m very grateful for the care and professionalism I received. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone experiencing similar pain or discomfort. They made a significant difference in my quality of life!Posted on Google![]()

I’ve had a great experience with Dr. Levi at River of Life Chiropractic. He’s incredibly personable, easy to talk to, and you can tell right away that he genuinely cares about the people he’s helping. What I appreciate most is that he takes the time to listen, explain what he’s doing, and make sure you’re comfortable throughout the process. You never feel rushed or like just another appointment on the schedule.Posted on Google![]()

Dr. Hansen actually took X-rays of my spine and went over them with me in detail while explaining my care plan. It was such a different experience from other chiropractors I’ve seen, where treatment began without first getting a clear picture of what was actually going on. Having now experienced both approaches, the difference is astounding. I really appreciate the thoroughness and thought that went into understanding my condition before beginning treatment.Posted on Google![]()

I came in to see Dr. Hansen about 3 months ago. I was having pretty severe neck pain daily. I was struggling with extreme migraines at least 2-3 days a week. After the new patient exam he found underlying issues that were causing the pain and headaches. He made a plan for me and I’m so happy to say that my daily neck pain is gone, I’ve had one migraine since I started. On re exam day I was literally in tears because I had no idea how much those issues were affecting my daily functioning. My overall quality of life has been improved. I am so grateful for the Dr. and this practice! They genuinely care about their patients and take their time to listen and find solutions. 10/10 highly recommend⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Posted on Google![]()

I first started seeing Dr. Hansen because I hurt my lower back at the gym. He got it moving and feeling better within the first visit and helped my neck issues as well. I have much more range of motion in my neck and back and no more pain. He’s personable, friendly and professional. I highly recommend him to everyone. For me chiropractic care has been essential to my wellness routine.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
